Cartoons can be a great way to enhance corporate documents and events. They can provide light relief from text-heavy materials such as training manuals and brochures, look great on websites and can add an original take on a topic.

Conferences and Other Corporate Events
How’s this for something novel? I do ‘live cartooning’ at events such as conferences, planning meetings and training courses. This means I sit in and listen to the speakers or discussion and draw cartoons based on what I hear. These can then be displayed during the breaks (either electronically or as hard copies) and can also be used by the client in any way they wish, for an agreed period following the event. It’s dynamic, entertaining and adds another creative perspective to an event.
These cartoons, by their very nature, can tend to be very ‘in jokes’ that make sense to people who were there and know the topic and context. But to give you a glimpse of what I’ve done, here are a few cartoons that I drew for the Cultural Tourism Industry Group’s recent conference in Bendigo…
